Mrs. Bloxom's class learned about the components of an atom using Adam Sandler. They loved it!!!

Students this week in Mr. Belew’s classes are learning about elements and compounds. Here they are observing what happens when an electric current from a small battery is passed through water. They can see the tiny bubbles of hydrogen and oxygen being released as the molecules of oxygen are broken apart by the electrical current.

PICTURE DAY IS TOMORROW!!!! Proofs will be sent home after pictures are taken, and you can order then. We will notify parents when those are sent home so you can search those backpacks!

5th Grade music classes are having fun making music with Boomwhackers.

Join us to help honor one of our current 6th grade students whose Leukemia has relapsed.

Each time a child receives chemotherapy at Arkansas Children's, they get to choose a toy from the prize closet, and we need to help replenish it in honor of our friend!!

Brand new, packaged toys for children of all ages will be accepted between September 2-September 30. Toys will be turned into your student's homeroom teacher.

The math classes competed to complete 100 sets of i-Ready lessons at 100% accuracy, and Mrs. King’s class finished 1st! Way to go, mathematicians!

Mrs. Allgood's classes built columns to help Hansel and Gretel keep their front porch from buckling under the weight of sticky candy canes.

Mrs. Rose’s class practiced using some of the tools for Science. We looked at slides through microscopes, at our fingerprints through a hand lens, and looked at light through a prism!

Mrs. Bloxom’s class did a hands on lab using gummy worms after learning about the Scientific Method!

Students are enjoying Mrs. Jenkins’ reading nook. It has been a popular spot this week!
