REMINDER!
If your student is wanting to drop their elective class (band, choir, EAST, engineering, or yearbook), they must see Mrs. Rector to obtain a form. The form must be signed by the student, parent, and the elective teacher before it can be returned back to Mrs. Rector. Forms are due by FRIDAY, DECEMBER 13; late forms will not be accepted. The student will remain in the elective through December 20. If the student returns the form with the required signatures by December 13, he/she will remain in their homeroom teacher's STEAM class when we return in January.
Please send any questions to Mrs. Rector on Dojo or by emailing her at crector@beebeschools.org.
Holiday Dress Up Days at Beebe Middle School!!
Ms. Davis' classes engaged in the dissection of owl pellets to examine what the owls ate. This lab is a favorite for students every year!
Congratulations to our spelling bee winners who will now advance to the White County Spelling Bee!! Thank you to our judges and the others who worked tirelessly to make today successful! 5th grade winners: 1st place Ryan Farmer, 2nd place Abel Embrey, and alternate Alandria Duckett. 6th grade winners: 1st place Shepard Toney, 2nd place Dixie Baird, and alternate Kember McDonald.
Students wrapped up their trading on the last day of the fall Stock Market Games, and then they earned supplies for a tower challenge by answering questions about the stock market and reflecting on their portfolios. Great job to all of the participants! A few of the participants also entered the InvestWrite Essay Contest in which they described their experience with the Stock Market Games.
Feeling Festive in room 306! ~Mrs.King
Students in Ms. Davis' classes researched the habitat and the role of an animal in the ecosystem. Students then wrote a bio poem about their animal. Students had fun presenting their Animal bio poem to the class.
An annual tradition in Mr. Belew's 5th Grade Classroom is the deck the desk competition. Students are allowed to bring holiday decorations and personalize their desk. As long as they leave themselves a work surface, pretty much anything goes! It's a winter wonderland in there!
Read the information regarding December 19 and 20!
Please make sure your students are sent to school with a coat. Students will go out to recess as long the temperature is above freezing.
Please Dojo or email Mrs. Rector if your student is in need of a winter coat.
