Spread the Word >> Inclusion #pledgetoinclude Wednesday, March 6 was national "Spread the Word Day" for Special Olympics! Our Unified team created a poster for students and staff at BMS to sign the "Pledge to Include!" Our poster is hanging in the hallway on the second floor, so if you still want to make the pledge you can stop by and sign it! "People with disabilities still face exclusion, social isolation, and social abuse in schools, workplaces, and communities. This prevents us from building truly inclusive societal structures, where we can learn and grow together. The Spread the Word Inclusion campaign is aimed at showcasing the impact of inclusive language and actions so that the discrimination of people with intellectual disabilities can come to an end."
