Easton Hinds and Kaden Richards (GT/AP Students) were invited to speak at the American Legion Meeting, October 24th. The Legion sponsored four juniors who were selected to attend Boys State (Summer 2023). The students were asked to speak on their experience at Boys State and what it meant to them. The young men were asked to come back and speak to The American Legion Commander on November 13th. Tammy Deaton, GT/AP Coordinator for Beebe School District, attended with them. The Beebe School District is very grateful to the American Legion for their graciousness to sponsor these students for Boys State. (Colin Brinsfield and Garrison Waldrop also attended Boys State, but were unable to attend the speaking engagement.)

A revision has been made to the 2023-24 school calendar to move the Friday, April 19, 2024 school holiday to Monday, April 8, 2024. There will be no school for students or staff on Monday, April 8, 2024. Friday, April 19, 2024, will be a regular school day. An updated school calendar can be found on our district website. Having no school on the day of the eclipse will help avoid potential traffic and other issues due to the influx of visitors expected in our area. It will also allow students to experience this rare event with their families. #BPRD
