We have been reading a book, Feelings, by Aliki this week. During the week of February 26th - March 1st, we will be celebrate Read Across America! Read Across America is an annual event celebrated on or near March 2nd, which is the birthday of children's author Dr. Seuss. It is a nationwide reading celebration that was created by the National Education Association (NEA) in 1997 to promote literacy and encourage a love of reading among children. Each class or pod will be celebrating with different activities. Your child's teacher will send information home. We are also excited to kick off March Book Madness. This will be exciting for students and teachers reading lots of books! Thank you for your continued support and remember to read to your child often. Daily reading time creates the consistency and sense of stability that children need. Reading the same books over and over also allows children to predict elements of the story and learn through repetition. We look forward to lots of reading fun!

The SRO assignment is unique within the law enforcement profession.
